A quiet man currently living with his twin sister in Garlemald who tends to keep to himself, his machines, and his medical studies. After nearly a decade of being in hiding after tragic events in his past, he's recently returned home and was reunited with home and family and is trying to find his place amongst the ruins and rebuildings of the empire. A frail man plagued by illness and insecurities, he's somewhat shy and keeps to himself, but those who do get past the shy, wary exterior will find a kind and caring man who just wants to do good for the world and reclaim a life that was taken from him for so long.

Appearance

Hair: Short and messy, blonde with shocked white streaks

Build: Slender, fairly firm but not overly muscular, a somewhat petite waist
Distinguishing Features: Deep scarring over multiple places in his body including his face.General Fashion Tastes: He tends to tread a line between sophisticated and simple, depending on the situation. He is a well dressed man who clearly has some eye for decent fashion.
Notable Accessories: He almost always wears some form of goggle or hat, sometimes both!Emile is a short (for a garlean, anyway, only reaching around 5'5"), slender built man in his seeming early 30s. His messy blonde hair has white streaks all throughout, though if this is a dye job or he's just going white early is anyone's guess. He is equally comfortable in more casual clothing as he is in more sophisticated attire, and tends to keep to a fairly monochromatic color scheme. His face hosts fairly pointed, angular features with a sharp nose and thin lips. His facial hair is kept well maintained and closely trimmed to his jawline and his face is marred by multiple scars, the worst of which runs vertically across the left side of his face and across the right side of his lips. If seen with less clothing it would be found out that his body is similar marred in a multitude of scars. He usually keeps his third eye hidden behind his messy mane of hair and regularly wears big goggles or glasses for his work or just to hide his features, alongside the occasional fancy hat.

Personality

Positive Qualities: Intelligent and eager to share his knowledge, Kind, fastidious, incredibly loyal to the few he does grow to trust
Negative Qualities: shy, incredibly reserved, constantly self depreciative to himself, does not trust others easilyEmile comes off as a quiet, thoughtful man who doesn't often speak unless he has an express reason to. He seems content keeping to himself and his machines or with his nose stuck in a tome trying to garner some new knowledge for himself. When he does break out of this shell and tries to socialize with others he is well spoken and articulate, though perhaps slow to respond as he spends more time then one may typically take to think over his words before he speaks. Generally he is fairly friendly, but incredibly guarded specially when it comes to anything involving him and his past. Of recent he's seemed to try to come out of his shell more. While he's always guarded and wary of people he doesn't know, he doesn't shy away from going out into the world as much as he once did. If anything, he seems almost eager for it.

The following is what I'm most looking for in regards to this character and roleplay.

  • Garlemald, he recently returned there and has been primairly spending all his time starting a new life back in his homeland.

  • Ishguard - Occasionally he'll return to the place that he called home for nearly a decade, so sometimes one may run into him there.

RP Hooks

  • Need a Tech Fix! - Have some Magitek all busted up that needs a good fixing? Manny's your man! He's quick, discrete, and gets the job right the first time or your money back. He's also happy to craft new magitek for the right price and if it's within his area of expertise to make, though he takes on clients for this type of work fairly rarely, preferring to just stick to repair work and leave the crafting for his own personal use.

  • Seeking Rare Tomes - Emile is always on the lookout for old and/or rare tomes, specially if they are tech related in any amount. As such he's always keeping an eye and ear out for anyone who may be selling such things, if your character happens to be one such person perhaps they can strike a deal.

  • Why are you sitting here all alone? - Emile is the type of person to be alone in a crowd of people, keeping to himself off to the side and watching others more so then interacting with them. As such, most new interactions with him usually have to be instigated by the other person if anything is to be started at all. He's often pouring over tomes or tech notes or fiddling with some sort of neat little magitek gadget so there's usually at least something that may catch someone's interest enough to be nosy and come say hello.

  • You look familiar... - If your character is Garlean or from the Empire in general, specially if they were a student at the Magitek Academy around a decade or so ago, they could very well be familiar with Emile or his family.

  • Save me, doctror! - With a newfound skill in being a medicus (of non-magical means), Emile is always ready to put said skills to use and help those in need! while he may be not be accomplished as healers at the game far longer then he, he makes up for it in enthusiasm and quick thinking as well as that creative, intelligent mind of his.

Availability

  • Time Zone: Eastern US (EST)

  • Active Hours: In-game: Typically evenings most days including weekends. This is not my main though so please be mindful of that fact and ask for my main's name if you want to keep in touch when I'm not on her.

  • Preferred place to RP: In-game and discord are both welcomed (ask for discord once we've gotten to know each other some, I do not give it until I'm comfortable.) In-Game is my main preference with discord good for continuations or if in-game scheduling is proving difficult.

OOC/RP Guidelines

  • While I am open to RPing with muses of any age, romantic and nsfw content will only be with muns and muses both 18+

  • Avoid metagaming at all, please. All information in this profile is meant for OOC purposes only, and not to be used IC unless your character might know part of it.

  • While I can be a pretty robust writer, I do try to match my partners. So if you want long posts from me, then give me long posts in return. Short posts get short responses. Simple enough.

  • I am comfortable with darker themes (violence, sex, drugs, etc) and am just fine RPing them out as long as they make sense to the story being told between our characters. Any particular heavy themes I would prefer to discuss OOCly first before anything happens ICly.

  • I am not one to really judge too harshly on lore bending, since I do it myself, but if you are completely breaking the lore of the game I may politely decline RPing with you, though wish you all the best in having fun your own way otherwise!

  • OOC and IC are not the same, nor should they ever be treated as such. Anything my character says or does will not always reflect me as the player. I ask that all that I RP with keep this in mind and know how to keep the two separate! No drama please, I'm just here to play barbies with friends and have a good time, yeah?

  • I enjoy all types of RP. Combat, adventure/exploration, bar crawls, casual chatter, romantic, friendly, whatever. I like to see my characters thrive in all walks of their life and enjoy playing out just about anything there is to be played out. If you're looking for a particular type of RP don't hesitate to ask and let's see if we can't make something happen!

  • Please note, that while I enjoy romantic RP and am not opposed to sexual RP I am not looking to live vicariously through my characters. I am not interested in dating you nor am I wanting to cyber with you, no matter what our characters themselves may be getting up to.

  • I do multiship this character in AUs, though all AUs are typically discord only and the ship he ends up in-game with will be his main/canon ship and the only one I RP in game/publicly with. If the idea of multishipping/AUs would bother you then I will understand if you refrain from seeking any possible romantic relationships with this character. Likewise, if you are interested in said AU possibilities feel free to let me know!

  • I enjoy PvE content and am always happy to make RP friends who will also run dungeons and the like with me from time to time! So if you're looking for an RP buddy who will actually run around doing non-RP stuff with you, I'm your gal! I am also very heavily into taking screenshots and take a lot of inspiration from RPs I do to make them, so if you'd like me to do that with our muses do let me know and I'll be sure to keep our RPs in mind when looking for gpose inspiration!
